Description of the Volunteer Opportunity:

Volunteer tax preparers are needed to prepare tax returns for low income New Mexicans. You will receive all training required. Go to http://www.cnm.edu/taxhelp/index.php for additional information. Phone number (505) 247-3671 x 713. Ability to speak Spanish desirable

Who Will Be Impacted Through This Project:

Last year tax returns prepared by volunteers resulted in $19.3 million in tax refunds for the most vulnerable citizens in New Mexico, saving these people more than 4 million dollars in tax preparation fees.

Nonprofit Will Provide:

Training, software, support and volunteer recognition

Additional Requirements:

Must pass IRS online certification exams which cover all basic tax filing requirements. You will receive all of the training necessary to pass the exams.
